Cristiano Ronaldo’s proposed move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr appears to be getting closer.
After leaving Manchester United last month, the Portugal international has been given a massive contract worth approximately €500 million (£430 million) to relocate to the Middle East.

Ronaldo’s explosive interview with TalkTV host Piers Morgan, in which he criticised the Red Devils and their manager Erik ten Hag, stunned the footballing world.
As a result, Ronaldo and Man United decided to end his contract early.
Ronaldo has been presented with a two-and-a-half year contract by Al Nassr to relocate to Saudi Arabia, as first reported by MARCA.
The 37-year-old would become the highest paid athlete in the world thanks to the contract, which is reportedly worth £173 million annually.

Sporting Lisbon and Premier League powerhouse Chelsea have both been linked with a transfer, but Al Nassr is said to have expressed the “most interest from the beginning.”
Ronaldo has reportedly accepted the offer and will begin playing for the Saudi team on January 1st, according to Marca.
In spite of the reports, it is believed that Ronaldo won’t announce his decision regarding his future until after the World Cup.
On Twitter, Piers Morgan also denied the rumours, quoting a report about the action and writing, “Again, not true.”
Currently playing for Portugal at the World Cup, Ronaldo has only scored once in the tournament’s history in Qatar.
On Wednesday, they take on Switzerland in the round of 16.
Ronaldo might decide to remain in the Middle East after he rejoins the clubs.
After a glittering career that began with Sporting Lisbon and produced major trophies with Man United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, a move to Al Nassr would be his first stint outside of Europe.
