Manchester United will let Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Eric Bailly leave the club this summer after determining that incoming manager Erik ten Hag does not require the defenders.
Ten Hag’s reconstruction does not include Wan-Bissaka and Bailly, with Man United intending to sell the two in permanent deals.
According to Sky Sports and Fabrizio Romano, they will not rule out a loan option if it comes with a genuine option or obligation to buy.
Wan-Bissaka, who joined United from Crystal Palace for £45 million, was replaced by Diogo Dalot after Ralf Rangnick was appointed.
However, he was a regular under the previous administration, appearing in 35 Premier League games in his first season and 34 league games the following season.
Prior to the summer transfer window, Palace are reported to be mulling a move for their former player.
In an injury-plagued season, Bailly played just seven games in all competitions last season.
The Ivorian has been with Manchester United since 2016, and the 28-year-old has been designated as surplus to requirements.
Ten Hag’s Man United makeover also includes bringing in new players, with Frenkie De Jong and Lisandro Martinez linked with moves to the Premier League.
The 52-year-old looks to be planning to sign Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the 2022/23 season, characterizing the 37-year-old as a ‘giant’ player.
