Napoli striker Victor Osimhen will miss the Italian team’s home match against Spezia on Saturday due to a thigh injury, according to the Serie A club.
According to a statement from Napoli, the Nigerian forward suffered the injury during the first half of Wednesday’s 4-1 thrashing of Liverpool in Naples.
Four minutes before the Champions League victory at the Stadio Maradona halftime, the 23-year-old was replaced by recently signed Giovanni Simeone. Osimhen is anticipated to miss the remainder of this month’s international break at the very least.
He will almost certainly also miss their match against title rivals AC Milan the following Sunday as well as their Champions League trip to Scottish club Rangers the following week.
