Nigerian comedian and box office king Ayo Makun, otherwise known as AY, and his estranged wife, Mabel Maku,n, are allegedly in a bitter custody battle over their second child.
According to blogger, Stella Dimoko Korkus, Mabel has denied AY all access to his second daughter. An insider told the blog that AY hadn’t reached his second daughter since Mabel left the marriage, so he had to cut through corners by contacting the child’s nanny to speak to his child.
The blogger claimed that Mabel walked in on AY talking to their daughter on the nanny’s phone and had sacked her immediately, and AY, after finding out what became of the nanny, offered her a job in his house. Now, it is left for a judge to give the comedian visitation rights or allow him to co-parent peacefully.
The insider further claimed that the war between the two is now so toxic that no one can intervene.
”Mabel has refused AY to have a phone or physical contact with their 2nd daughter, but once Mabel goes out, the Nanny will call AY to have quality time with his daughter on the phone.
On one of those times, Mabel returned home and met their daughter on the phone with AY on the Nanny’s phone and all hell broke loose for the Nanny, who was sacked immediately and sent back to the village that same day. ‘According to the insider sources, ”When it was time to talk to his daughter again, AY called the Nanny’s phone, and she told him that she had been sacked and was in the village. He ordered the Nanny to return to Lagos and offered her a job in his house. Mabel heard that the Nanny now works for AY and has declared war with the Nanny and insiders say that she has vowed that AY would never have contact with his daughter.
The matter will now be for a Judge to give AY visitation rights or allow him to co-parent their daughter peacefully with her banning him.
Insiders allege that the war between both is now so bad and toxic that no one can intervene and talk to any of them again as the hatred between both has soared to unbelievable heights.
One of the estranged couple already allegedly filed for divorce and that is still in the works.
Insiders swear that It is only God that can intervene and settle things between both as it is right now”.
Recall that in April, 2023, AY confirmed the end of his almost 20-year relationship with Mabel, expressing regrets for losing his home, and also admitted to doing things that were compromising during the marriage.
He warned against projecting the wrong narrative about him and his family, which he found harmful to his teenage daughter, and hinted at the possible fault from his wife.
Mabel also broke her silence, stating that her dreams of a lifelong marriage had now taken a different direction and pleaded with the media and public to give them privacy as they navigate their new phase. She noted how many lies have been peddled against her, but she will honour her kids by not addressing them.
