Award-winning Nigerian comedian Richard Ayo Makun, better known by his stage name, AY, has aroused emotion with a video of him surprising his mini-me, Ayomide, in school for her birthday.
Kemi Filani reported on Thursday that the second daughter of the comedian had turned 3, and AY had penned an emotional note to her, noting how he hasn’t seen her much since his separation from her mother. However, he is grateful for every moment they’ve shared. He further admitted that though so many unrepairable occurrences have engulfed the unity they once called family, she should rest assured that she is deeply loved by her mum and him.
In a follow-up to the emotional post, AY shared an emotional video of him reuniting with his daughter for her birthday. The box office King had surprised her with cake and more in her school.
In the clip, the toddler who was overjoyed seeing her fan ran to him in a warm embrace and the comedian carried her. Elsewhere in the clip, Ayomide, who didn’t want her dad to leave, was seen pulling his legs and asking him to stay with her. See video here.

Recall that in April, 2023, AY confirmed the end of his almost 20-year relationship with Mabel, expressing regrets for losing his home, and also admitted to doing things that were compromising during the marriage.
Last year, while giving an update to their separation, Blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus alleged that AY hasn’t reached his second daughter since their marriage crashed as Mabel had denied him all access to his second daughter. According to an insider, AY had to decide means to reach his daughter through her nanny and when Mabel found out, all hell was let loose.
