Nigerian award-winning singer Burna Boy seems to be winning his ongoing fight with celebrity barman and best friend of Davido, Cubana Chief Priest.
Kemi Filani reported on Friday that Burna shared a cryptic post referring to Cubana as Owerri Rick Ross and accusing him of questionable activities. Cubana had responded to his shady post, alleging that Burna won the Grammy because he was intimate with embattled American entertainer, Diddy. He also recounted how he paid Burna N1million to perform as a backup singer at his birthday party in 2018.
Chief Priest further alleged that Burna Boy is a debtor. A claim Burna refuted as he insisted that he always paid in full for properties and he has never been called out for debts.
Not backing down, Burna had extended a helping hand to Cubana’s alleged younger brother. In a video posted on the brother’s Instagram page, he was captured meeting the award-winning singer who gifted him $30,000.
Expressing gratitude to him, Bethel Okechukwu stated that God used Burna Boy to pull him out of poverty as the singer has changed his story.
“God is realđ, Odogwu @burnaboygram. God has used you to pull me out from poverty; I will be forever grateful, people, help me and thank him for me.”
Recall that last year, the barman’s brother had cried out for help, revealing that he is a poor phone repairer at Alaba market, suffering to make ends meet. He pointed out the irony of how his elder brother, Chief Priest, is rich and generous to outsiders while he is suffering. He prayed that someday the best friend to music star Davido would remember him.
Burna’s beef with Cubana stems from his relationship with Davido, who Burna is at war with. Back in July, Burna had dissed Davido after a fan advised him to follow his lead and start a family. Responding to him, Burna told him to leave him alone as he questioned if he didnât see what Davido was facing with one of his baby mamas.
While responding to another fan who faulted him for dissing the singer, he noted how the person didnât use the best example.
Davido reignited his feud with Burna Boy last year when he referred to him as an upcoming artiste in his interview. In the viral clip, Davido spoke on how he and Wizkid were the first to blow things up and expressed joy in seeing new cats like Burna Boy, Mayorkun, Asake, and more also doing well.
