Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, better known by her stage name, DJ Cuppy, has come under heavy criticism for taking her hunt for a husband to the professional social media platform LinkedIn.
The daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, via her LinkedIn page, shared a crying face of herself as she revealed that she is looking for a finance man who is 6 foot with brown eyes.
“LinkedIn. I’m looking for a finance man: 6 foot, Brown eyes”.
Her post didn’t sit well with many who dragged her on Twitter for going overboard with her desperation for a man.

Since her failed engagement to British boxer, Ryan Taylor, Cuppy has been on a hunt for a man, especially after hitting the 3rd floor. Just a few days back, Cuppy had declared herself a wife material. The disc jockey shared a photo of her doing laundry as she boldly declared that she is wife material.
A week back, Cuppy had made a deep prayer to God. She prayed that she may be deep in God and that her husband has to seek him first before he finds her.
In May, following her baptism, Cuppy’s mother, Nana Otedola had prayed for a suitor for her. Cuppy had shared a screenshot of her chat with her mum, where she told her that God will give her a man who is running after Him. She stated that now that Cuppy is becoming her best self and united with him, God will send a man her way.
Also in May, while lamenting over her single status, Cuppy revealed how her single status had led her to write ‘Jesus’ in her emergency contact, whenever she was filling out forms. In another post, she had questioned God after receiving a proposal email from an admirer.
Taking her hunt for a spouse to the extreme, she had contemplated switching her taste in men, as she pondered on if she should marry an Indian man.
Recall that in November, 2022, Cuppy got engaged to British boxer, Ryan Taylor, just a month after knowing each other. Unfortunately, their relationship was short-lived, as in 2023, they parted ways over undisclosed reasons.
Speaking out about it, Cuppy described 2023 as the worst year of her life, as she regretted not turning down her fiance, Ryan Taylor’s proposal.
