American model, Fancy Acholonu has returned to Instagram after messy social media drama with her ex-fiance, Alex Ekubo.
Fancy took time off all social media platforms on 6th January after she mercilessly dragged her ex-fiance for manipulating her.
Taking to Instagram to make posts after being away for over a month, Fancy made three separate posts to ask her fans how they are doing while she noted that she has missed them all. In another post, she shared a video of herself in a joyful mood as she swings with a beautiful smile to Tems’ ‘Free Mind’.
Fancy captioned the post: “As for me, I’ve been growing & glowing and staying grateful to God 🙏🏽 #SimplyFancy 🥰”
Alex Ekubo and Fancy Acholonu’s social media drama
Recall that Fancy Acholonu had publicly apologized to ex-fiancee, Alex Ekubo earlier this year after she embarrassed him in 2021 by calling off their wedding on social media and asking him to “live his truth” which had many insinuating that he is gay.
Interestingly, days after she made the public apology, she claimed that Alex forced her to put the apology post to save his face. She was upset that he didn’t live up to his end of the bargain after tendering the apology.
Hell-bent on exposing him, Fancy Acholonu further revealed that in their 5 years of relationship, he never touched her.
It got messier when an audio recording of Alex and his Fancy in a heated conversation surfaced online.
In the audio recording, Alex Ekubo clearly told his estranged fiance that he wouldn’t be posting anything on his page, in reference to her apology. However, he would acknowledge her post and leave a comment under it. Read more here.
Fancy tenders heartfelt apology
Kemi Filani recalls that Fancy Acholonu took to her Instagram page to tender a heartfelt apology to all the parties involved in the relationship crisis with her ex-fiance, Alex Ekubo.
According to the 29-year-old, she never wanted to speak up because she didn’t want to tarnish Alex’s image; however, he caused her to take a route she never wanted because of his selfish gains.
While apologising, Fancy noted that the crisis is humiliating, but she needed to defend herself with the truth. She also revealed that she will be off the gram to heal.
She wrote: “I never wanted to speak up. My silence was golden. I do not want to tarnish his image. My pain was my secret. He opened me up for selfish reasons. I should have known better. I’m sorry to everyone involved. This is all very humiliating, but I have to defend myself with the truth. this too shall pass. Taking time off to heal.”
