Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun recently reunited with his ex-wife and mother of his kids, Faithia Williams for their son’s graduation.
Kemi Filani reported hours ago that Faithia had announced that her son, Khalid Balogun, had graduated from the University of Lagos with a first-class degree. Williams, who was short on words, stated that she was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude at her son’s incredible achievement.
Joining her, Saidi shared a clip of his reunion with Faithia at their son’s graduation. The proud father questioned what joy was greater than this as he noted how his son had made him very proud.
Praying for him, Saidi, who lost one of his daughters last year, expressed gratitude to his Maker for bringing joy back into his heart.
“What joy is greater than this? I am proud of you, Khalid Ayomide Balogun @khalidgram__. You have made me proud today, so also, will your children make you proud? My son graduated with a 1st class!! Thank you, almighty Allah. Thank you for bringing joy back into my heart”.
It isn’t surprising to see Faithia and Saidi in the same place, as the couple of weeks to have settled their differences.
When Saidi lost his first daughter in October, Faithia had taken a break from social media to mourn. When she returned, she made a post gushing over the deceased and appreciated the public for their support.
When Faithia also buried her father in July, Saidi showed his support and attended the burial ceremony where he was captured raining money on her.
Also, in April, Faithia had caused a stir online as she referred to herself by her former married name, Faithia Balogun. The Yoruba actress shocked many when she addressed herself with her former marital title, Faithia Williams Balogun, as she apologised to her fans.
The couple married over 20 years ago at an Ikorodu registry and divorced four years later. Their divorce was quite messy, and Saidi, who told the court that he could not live under the same roof with his estranged wife due to irreconcilable differences, also demanded, among other requests, that Faithia drop his name, Balogun.
The former couple finally made peace, as on Faithia’s birthday in February, Saidi Balogun sent a sweet birthday note to her, showering her with love and prayers. Faithia had also done the same as she sweetly celebrated Saidi Balogun’s birthday.
