Nigerian singer Spyro has made an observation about the rich, especially billionaires.
In an Instagram story, he stated that the people who owe the most are the rich, as they always want free things, especially the so-called billionaires. He noted how they can spend hundreds of millions on women but find it hard to pay for the value offered to them.
He admonished such people to avoid bringing such behaviour near him as he mentioned how he worked really hard to be where he is and isn’t pøor. Spyro told any rich person who wants his service to pay the price.
“The people that owe the most are the RICH. Always wanting free things, especially your so-called billionaires. They can spend hundreds of millions on women, but when it comes to paying for value tendered, they begin to misbehave.
Sha don’t bring it near me o, I worked really hard to be here and I ain’t pøor so if you want my services you pay my price. Simple”.
Spyro, in an interview, had called out Ubi for owing him 5000 dollars for a gig he performed in Ghana. Ubi refuted his allegations and claimed that Spyro owed him money. He recalled how he introduced Spyro to a car dealer and expected a 10% commission, but Spyro didn’t give him anything.
Responding to him, Spyro showed off his material possessions and stated that God had been faithful to him without taking 10 percent.
The Who Is Your Guy singer had also recalled his ordeals while he was signed to Paulo Okoye’s record label and claimed that he had to take a loan to take care of himself while with the label as he never made anything from the label. Paulo debunked his claims as he shared receipts of his expenses on the singer. Okoye said he spent N12 million on Spyro and never gained a kobo from him.
Spyro, hit back at him, noting how he didn’t lie against the show promoter, as he recalled how he was chased out of a foreign hotel. He, however, stated that he was appreciative of Paulo’s support to him and for putting him on.
In other news, Spyro sent a message to upcoming artists. He educated them that signing with the biggest label or artiste in the world doesn’t guarantee their success. Enlightening them, Spyro made it known that one’s talent without diligence and hard work will fail one. The “Who Is Your Guy” singer went on to admonish them to stop building castles in the air, waiting for labels/people, and start investing in themselves.
