If there is anything Nollywood actor and producer Yul Edochie is good at, it is changing his calling and ambition.
The actor, via his Instagram page, while sharing a photo of him in a traditional attire, announced that he is now a hardcore traditionalist. Making a case for traditional worshippers, he noted how Africans, due to fear of what people will say, run away from their powerful African religion and their originality.
Calling it an abomination, Yul stated that he would never abandon the ways of his forefathers, which are built on truth, transparency, and fairness. He declared himself a hardcore traditionalist.

Just a few days back, Yul had responded to those questioning if he was still a minister of God. He revealed that he is still a minister of God and is now more powerful because he has gone back to his roots. Explaining himself, he claimed that God opened his eyes and revealed the truth to him which has been hidden from many for decades.
Yul’s love and support for African traditionalist wouldn’t be surprising as weeks back, Edochie had made a case for Native doctors. He noted how many pastors have the calling to be Native doctors (Dibia) but are refusing to answer because White men and Nollywood brainwashed them to believe it is evil. The actor stated that being a Native doctor is a divine call from God as it means one has been chosen to help humanity.
Also, during the Easter celebration, Yul admonished the public to stop burning shrines and deities, noting that not all deities are evil. He educated Nigerians on how the Whites brainwashed us into abandoning our tradition as he admonished them to wake up and start embracing their tradition.
In another post, he sent a message to religious folks, advising them against being too obsessed with it. He avowed that the majority of religion is a scam and is formulated to control the people.
Recall that in January, last year, Yul had accepted his calling and launched his own online Ministry, The Salvation Ministry. Many thought he was just chasing clout until he held his first online service on Sunday, January 28th, where he recounted how God called him.
During one of his online ministry, Yul stirred reactions as he made a revelation about his calling from God. He claimed God called him because of his stubbornness. He admitted that though he doesn’t know all the various reasons why God chose him to be a preacher, he was, however, sure that his stubbornness was part of it.
Back in 2023, he had recounted how God saved his life in 2019 after a ghastly car accident, disclosing that he died after the accident, but God gave him a second life, which He stated would be for his glory and to preach his word.
